We are always seeking job partners who will help our youth transition to permanent employment. Please contact our Program Director, Magda Kornacka, for more information: firstname.lastname@example.org
Studies report unemployment for homeless youth as high as 75%, as compared to 16% among the general population of housed youth. Steady income is necessary for exiting street life and becoming a self-sustaining adult.
Help change these statistics by becoming a job partner!
- Our internships provide 6 months of work skills training and 3+ months of post-internship support as they transition to long term employment; setting up our graduates for success while affording employers more in depth knowledge about a potential hire than any interview could ever provide.
Through completing the Hand2Paw program, our participants gain enhanced employability skills necessary to be career and community ready. In order to accomplish this, we’ve designed a Work Readiness Certificate in accordance with the Department of Education’s “Career Ready PA” standards, which includes a comprehensive list of work skills such as self-management, problem solving, personal skills, customer focus, dependability, and integrity. You can find out more about Career Ready PA here.
